Meagan Yarmey
PhD, RSW - Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy
I offer psychotherapy for adults who want substantive, psychologically grounded work. My practice is particularly well suited for thoughtful, high-functioning individuals, including professionals and leaders navigating sustained cognitive, emotional, or role-related demand.

This work is designed for people who want more than symptom management and who value depth, rigor, and a therapist able to think alongside them in complex territory.
Approach

My clinical work draws from evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, and DBT, integrated with developmental and social psychological perspectives.

While this work may overlap with performance or leadership coaching in focus, it is psychotherapy and is held within appropriate clinical, ethical, and regulatory boundaries.

We attend not only to symptoms, but also to meaning-making, identity coherence, emotional flexibility, and the contexts shaping distress and adaptation.

This is therapy for people who think; and want their therapist to think with them.
Areas I Commonly Work With

Clients often seek psychotherapy with concerns such as:
-
anxiety and chronic stress
-
low mood and burnout
-
trauma and nervous system strain
-
perfectionism and self-doubt
-
imposter syndrome
-
life and career transitions

In many cases, these concerns are intertwined with role complexity, identity strain, or prolonged performance pressure rather than discrete or isolated clinical episodes.

How I Work

Sessions are collaborative, analytical, and grounded, often focusing on:
-
performance-interfering thought patterns
-
identity strain and role overload
-
decision fatigue and values conflict
-
emotional regulation under pressure
Sessions are intentional, paced, and respectful of your time, attention, and capacity. Individual sessions are offered virtually and may be short term or longer term, depending on goals, context, and complexity. This work is best suited for individuals who are reflective, engaged, and willing to work at depth.

I offer a complimentary 20-minute consultation to assess fit for both of us.
