Psychotherapy

I offer psychotherapy for adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck in their thinking, or harder on themselves than they want to be.

Many clients are capable and functioning well in parts of their life, while privately dealing with anxiety, low mood, burnout, or persistent self-criticism. Sometimes these patterns have been there for years. Other times, they emerge during periods of stress, transition, or loss.

Therapy focuses on helping you understand why this is happening and how to shift it so you can feel clearer, steadier, and more in control again.

This work attends both to inner experience and the practical realities of daily life.

When This Work Is Especially Helpful

Clients often seek this work when:

  • Anxiety or overthinking is interfering with relationships or performance

  • Burnout or low mood has become difficult to shake

  • Self-criticism or perfectionism feels constant

  • Life transitions have disrupted their sense of direction or identity

  • Previous therapy helped but didn’t create lasting change

Many are insightful and self-aware. What they’re looking for is not just support, but meaningful and lasting change.

Areas I Commonly Work With

  • Anxiety and chronic stress

  • Social or performance anxiety

  • Depression and low mood

  • Trauma and nervous system strain

  • Perfectionism and self-criticism

  • Identity questions and life transitions

These concerns often reflect accumulated pressure and long-standing patterns, not just a single event.

Approach

My work integrates evidence-based therapies, including CBT, ACT, EFIT, and DBT, along with developmental and social psychological perspectives. I also incorporate mindfulness-based strategies to help you regulate in real time and think more clearly under pressure.

Sessions are structured, engaged, and practical. We look closely at patterns while staying connected to the emotional experience underneath them.

The goal is not just insight but the ability to respond differently, with more flexibility and control.

Next Step

Sessions are offered virtually and may be short- or longer-term, depending on goals and complexity.

If you are unsure whether this approach fits your situation, I offer a focused 20-minute consultation to explore next steps.
