Frequently Asked Questions

Finding the right therapist is a big decision—and it’s natural to have questions. Below, I’ve answered some of the most common questions clients ask before we begin working together. If there’s something else you’d like to know, please reach out—I’d love to help.

Do you offer free consultations?

Yes! I offer a brief, 20-minute consultation (no charge) to see if my approach aligns with your needs. It’s not a formal therapy session—just a chance to talk, clarify expectations, and ensure we’re a good fit.

Do you offer in-person sessions?

No, all sessions are online via a secure platform. This ensures accessibility and continuity for clients across Ontario and Nova Scotia. 

What are your fees?

A standard 50-minute session is $220 CAD. Payment is made by e-transfer at the time of your session, and I’ll provide a receipt immediately.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations require 48 hours’ notice. Late cancellations (less than 48 hours) are charged the full session fee, unless we can reschedule within the same business week. Therapy works best with consistency—and showing up is part of the process.

Are your services covered by insurance?

My services aren’t covered by OHIP, but most private insurance plans include psychotherapy with a Registered Social Worker (RSW). If you’re not sure, check with your provider. Sessions can also be claimed as a medical expense on your income tax. No extra fees. As an MSW, RSW psychotherapist, the price you see is the price you pay.
