Frequently Asked Questions

Choosing the right psychotherapy is an important decision. Below are answers to common questions to help you understand the approach and decide if it’s a good fit.

Do you offer free consultations?

Yes. I offer a 20-minute consultation at no charge. This is not a therapy session, but a brief meeting to clarify your goals, explain my approach, and assess mutual fit.

Do you offer in-person sessions?

All sessions are online via a secure platform, ensuring accessibility and continuity across Ontario.

What kind of work do you offer?

I offer psychotherapy. My work often focuses on performance, decision-making, and psychological functioning under sustained pressure — particularly for people in high-demand roles. Depending on your needs, sessions may address anxiety, stress, low mood, self-doubt, perfectionism, leadership strain, or high-stakes decision-making. The focus of the work is clarified during the initial consultation.

What are your fees?

Fees are set per 50-minute session and reflect 20+ years of clinical and consulting experience. Payment is via e-transfer with an immediate receipt. Rates can be discussed during the consultation if needed.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations require 48 hours’ notice. Sessions canceled with less notice are billed in full, as the time is reserved for you.

Are your services covered by insurance?

Psychotherapy with a Registered Social Worker (RSW) is often reimbursable by private insurance plans. Sessions may also qualify as a medical expense for tax purposes. There are no hidden fees.

Do you work with VAC, RCMP, or CAF clients?

Yes. I am a registered Medavie Blue Cross provider (VAC #822059A), authorized to offer reimbursable psychotherapy services for Veterans, RCMP officers, and Canadian Armed Forces personnel. This line is maintained for credibility and clarity; inquiries are handled case by case.
